Hey guys. Just thought I'd post about this book and hope others might get as much out of it as I did. The book is called Notes Left Behind and it's by Brooke and Keith Desserich. It's the journal kept by these two as they dealt with their daughter's terminal cancer. As a cancer survivor myself, this gave me great insight into what my parents must have experienced while dealing with my diagnosis. And I've never read a book that has made me laugh and cry within the same sentence, with it perfectly portraying the struggles of cancer right along side the innocence of a child that I once had. I first read this book after the death of a friend of mine to cancer, and this book really helped me cope after the loss. It helped me put so many things into perspective after her death, and I've read it before or after any big event in my life to help me keep myself grounded. So I hope this will, if anything, at least provide a good read and remember to have that box of tissues ready!
